Find out your SteamID
« on: March 25, 2018, 07:05:25 am »
You have 2 possibilities to find out your SteamID. Either through the console directly in Steam or through a text document that stores your connections.

# Console:
  • Connect to a server, such as CS:GO or TF2
  • Call the console with the [^] key
  • Now enter "status" (without quotation marks) and confirm with [Enter]
  • The line with your Steam account name also shows your Steam ID. This usually begins with a zero (eg 0: X: XXXXXX)

# Logs
  • First, open the directory where Steam was installed. By default, it is "C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam"
  • In the Steam directory, open the "logs" folder
  • Open Steam
  • Open the text document "connection_log" in the "logs" folder
  • Scroll down to the current date. Here you search for the entry "SetSteamID ([U: 1: XXXXXXXX])"
  • Replace the "U" with a "0". Otherwise, the number sequences in the square bracket represent your Steam ID. So here's the 0: 1: XXXXXXXX
