Resources:

For a standard configuration without add-ons / plug-ins! we need about the following hardware per slot (player):

Traffic up/down ca. 4-8 Kb
RAM appx. 32 MB
CPU appx. 80 MHZ

Information:

Standard port:
The following ports are used by default. If you're using a router or a firewall, you'll need to share or forward these ports.

UDP 27950 to 27965

Mostly used:
UDP 27950
UDP 27951
UDP 27960
UDP 27970

Other ports:
UDP 27733
TCP/UDP 3074
UDP 33060 - 33070

General:
- For security reasons, never install a game server with the user root!

- If your operating system is a 64-bit version, you will need the 32-bit libs.

- When the server is operated from home and behind a router, do not forget to forward the ports.

Installation:

Log in via the console (e.g: Putty) and you are in the home directory.
To be sure you can with...
Code: [Select]
cd ~
switch to the home directory.
First create a subfolder:
Code: [Select]
mkdir etserver
The name of the folder is etserver.
Change now to the etserver folder with:
Code: [Select]
cd etserver
Now download the installer with:
Code: [Select]
wget ftp://ftp.idsoftware.com/idstuff/et/linux/et-linux-2.60-update.x86.run
To start the program, you have to set rights:
Code: [Select]
chmod 775 et-linux-2.60.x86.run
Then create two folders, this is done with one command:
Code: [Select]
mkdir /home/etserver/bin /home/etserver/tmp
Start the installation with:
Code: [Select]
./et-linux-2.60.x86.run
The server is started, e.g. with:
Code: [Select]
screen -d -m -S etserver /home/etserver/enemy-territory/etded +set vm_game 0
+set sv_pure 1 +set dedicated 2 +net_ip 23.50.112.44 +net_port 27960 +set sv_punkbuster 1

You just have to adjust this command a bit, at least IP and port otherwise it will not work.

= Return to Castle Wolfenstein =

= RealRtCW version 2.21 =

WolfETPlayer's "RealRtCW" modification for "Return to Castle Wolfenstein" is far more than just a basic improvement on the original game, it is, in fact, a total overhaul of everything. From textures to weapons, to the combat abilities of the A.I., it has all been very much improved. Having a quick read of the mod's features list only serves to emphasise that fact.

Features list:
  • Based on ioRTCW engine, which provides widescreen support, better sounds and x64 support
  • New weapons: TT33, MP34, PPSH, Mosin Nagant, M1 Garand, BAR, MP44, MG42, G43, M97, Revolver
  • New models for the vanilla weapons, including world models
  • Rebalanced weapons characteristics
  • Rebalanced AI
  • Overhauled sounds
  • New HUD and UI
  • New difficulty system
  • And more!

This new version has even more to enjoy too, with the superb "RtCW Vendetta" mission, created by Yo$hik, now included in the "RealRtCW" addons list.

RealRTCW 2.21 Changelog:

      New features:
      cg_fixedaspectfov CVAR added
      Various engine limits increased

      Bug Fixes:
      Flamethrower volume decreased
      Luger silencer placement fixed

      Balancing:
      Player sprint duration doubled
Ammount of stamina taken by jumping decreased
Bunny hop value slightly increased to avoid silly first person effect
      Pistols and SMGs spread decreased
Elite guards moving speed slightly increased
Undead enemies moving speed slightly increased

      Other:
sv_cheats set to 0 by default
Weapon damage CVARS are now cheat protected
      Various weapon screen position changed
No gloves hand skin removed due to its ugliness

This week, William and Charles fight their way through the "Village" map to meet up with resistance fighter Karl Villigut in order to gain access to the entrance to the crypts, located in the graveyard.

As always, there's lots of action, laughs and the occasional in-game bug to enjoy as the lads frag in "Nightmare" mode, the toughest game mode in "RtCW Cooperative" :).

+News / Wolfenstein 2 for Nintendo Switch
« Last post by OverdoZed on April 25, 2018, 08:52:42 am »
https://youtu.be/qr6Q_kqo9_M

We've known Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus is coming to Nintendo Switch for a while now, but until
this point we didn't know precisely when. Now, publisher Bethesda has announced the shooter's port
launches on June 29.

The Switch version will be the "complete, uncensored" game, according to Bethesda, and the company
has just released the first official gameplay footage of the game running on Nintendo's hybrid console.
Take a look at that above.

The port is being handled by Panic Button, the same studio responsible for bringing another visually
intensive first-person shooter, Doom, to Switch. We got our first hands-on opportunity with the Switch
version of Wolfenstein II at PAX East 2018 earlier this month; you can see how the game looks running
in docked mode here.

We learned recently that the physical Switch version of The New Colossus will require an additional download
to run. This is not uncommon for Switch games, but it may mean you'll need a micro SD card to play the
cartridge version. The port costs $60 in the US, with international pricing yet to be revealed.

Wolfenstein II originally released in October 2017 and was one of the most acclaimed games of the year.
GameSpot's Kallie Plagge awarded it a 9/10 in our Wolfenstein II review and said, "Despite some heavy-handed
moments that feel like missteps in its message, satisfying Nazi-killing action bolsters its completely bonkers
storyline in a way that only Wolfenstein can achieve."
